A total of 70 people are in charge of the cleaning tasks of all the facilities, which are performed Monday through Sunday during the morning, afternoon and night shifts. At the centre, a benchmark in Spain in mental healthcare and research, there are over 700 internal patients affected by mental pathologies. Over 1,000 professionals work there, offering health and social care to over 26,000 people per year.
The healthcare complex has over 700 hospital beds, adult mental health centres, day hospitals, out-patient units specializing in mental health and addictions and community rehabilitation services, among other community resources.
As in all of SIRSA’s services, since March 2020 it has been applying COVID-19 safety and prevention protocols: suitable PPE, FFP2 masks, gloves, continuous hand hygiene, safety distance and maximum ventilation in work spaces.
The Benito Menni CASM centre in Sant Boi joins the mental healthcare centres of the Sisters Hospitaller where SIRSA already provides its services, such as in Ciempozuelos and Arroyomolinos and at the Multi-purpose Mental Health Unit of L’Hospitalet and Granollers.
