This weekend, the public is returning to the Barcelona-Catalonia Track in Montmeló with the 2021 MotoGP Grand Prix of Catalonia. SIRSA has once again strengthened its cleaning, disinfection and maintenance teams for service at the facilities.
After a year without any public, the cleaning teams have had specific, thorough jobs to complete so that everything is ready for the event, which will have the largest public since the state of alarm was declared in March 2020. Over 23,000 people are expected to attend.
SIRSA has 160 professionals who are providing service at the Catalonia Track in the months of May and June during the Spanish Formula 1 and Catalonian Moto GP events.
We have once again signed an agreement with the City Government of Montmeló to hire persons who have difficulty accessing the labour market, an initiative that is included in the social responsibility to which we are committed. Since 1991, SIRSA has been hiring cleaning personnel for the Barcelona-Catalonia Track located in Montmeló through an agreement with the city government. We hire workers with the objective of driving the labour reinsertion of residents of both the municipality and the district.
For this year’s events, we have joined the KISS Barcelona programme, with actions for promoting sustainability that are adapted to the health security protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
